- In 2000, the Huntingdon Fire Department placed into service, TWO Scott Thermal Imaging Cameras, one at each station.
- For calendar year 2001, the No. 1 Fire Company responded to 168 Fire alarms and 74 Rescue alarms(crashes) for a total of 242 EMERGENCY responses.
- We have given away two surplus engines and lots of loose equipment to the folks from Missouri.
-Our annual Awards and Installation Banquet was held on March 9, 2002, 6PM in the Social Hall of the Fire Station. Congratulations to the following award winners; Don Isenberg Memorial "Lantern Boy" Award, Awarded to the entire company; Officers' Award, Firefighter Ben Everhart; Junior Firefighter Award, Janet Shetrom; Firefighter of the Year, All 343 FDNY Firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11/01. Service award winners(given for every five years' service) were also recognized. A special thank you to State Fire Instructor Tim Yutzy for honoring us as our guest speaker!
